Description: Directs the overall marketing, public relations and internal communication functions of the Authority. Manages ridership development and revenue development programs.
Duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Insures that the Authority has a marketing plan that strongly supports the goals and objectives of the Authority. 2. Develops and implements marketing programs to promote HART transit services, to increase ridership and to retain existing riders. 3. Manages and/or conducts market research to analyze marketing activities, enhance service development and guide improvements to the customer amenities program. 4. Manages the distribution and sale of fare cards from commission and non-commission sales outlets. 5. Manages the activities of HART customer service centers including the sale of fare cards, discount identification cards and special program permits to assure the delivery of high quality customer service. 6. Manages the Transit Advertising Program, including interior and exterior of busses and streetcars, and shelter advertising. 7. Analyzes the effectiveness of marketing program and reports such to the Executive Staff. 8. Manages internal communications initiatives to assure employees have access to and an understanding of corporate coals, services and current issues. 9. Represents the Authority in professional-related external organizations and functions. 10. Develops and coordinates Manage media campaigns including radio, newspaper and television advertisements. 11. Serves as the media representative and spokesperson for the Authority. 12. Manages the writing, editing, publishing and distribution of brochures, community reports, newsletters, and other public information materials. 13. Manages public relations activities to enhance the image of the Authority among government agencies, the business community, HART staff, and the general public. 14. Supervises, trains and evaluates staff. 15. Provides communications and creative support and direction to efforts internal to the organization. Qualifications: Experience: ? Five years of marketing and communications field related experience, preferably in transit. Three years of progressive management experience in marketing and communications. Education: ? Master?s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Salary range is: $69,908 (Min.), $90,916 (Mid.), $111,924 (Max.) annually, depending on qualifications, education and experience.
